We had such a wonderful experience working as a balloon vendor at Hawthorn in Portsmouth. The space itself is absolutely stunning - rich with historical character while thoughtfully layered with modern charm. Every detail feels intentional, creating a setting that is both elevated and inviting. A special thank you to Sam, whose warm hospitality truly stood out. She was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and made the entire experience feel seamless from start to finish. The Hawthorn is a fantastic venue in an ideal location for hosting events, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a space that is both beautiful and well-managed.

We’ve had the pleasure of performing at The Hawthorn Weddings & Events in Portsmouth, New Hampshire a few times last year, and it has always been an outstanding experience. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, and the team is consistently professional, organized, and wonderful to work with. Everything runs smoothly, which makes a huge difference for both vendors and guests. Over the course of our career, we’ve performed at many top venues across the New England area, and we can confidently say that The Hawthorn is truly one of our favorite places to perform. Highly recommend to anyone planning a special event!

I am a wedding florist (Illume Floral) and I recently had the opportunity to design florals at The Hawthorn for an editorial/styled photo shoot and was so impressed with both the space and the team. The venue strikes a perfect balance between historic industrial charm and a clean, elevated aesthetic. It photographs beautifully and allows creative details to stand out. The staff was friendly, organized & professional, and made the entire experience seamless. I highly recommend that you consider this space for your next event!

The Hawthorn is such an incredible venue. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the history - it has such a distinct, elevated vibe! I had the opportunity to plan a wedding industry event there and it was the perfect space for a 150-person, cocktail-style networking event. Every corner is thoughtfully designed, the bar is a total showstopper, and you can truly see the care and intention that went into revamping the entire venue. Sam is absolutely fantastic to work with, and I highly recommend The Hawthorn for weddings or any special event - it’s absolutely gorgeous. And even the bathrooms are meticulously styled (such cool wallpaper!)… I just loved every detail about the Hawthorn!

Where do I even begin! The Hawthorn hosted my "Pilates for a Cure" fundraiser to raise money for St. Jude Research hospital. I didn't even need to bring decorations because it's perfect on the inside. The space is perfect for any event. The bar area is gorgeous, that's where we served coffee post class. It's so clean, and aesthetically pleasing. On top of it all, Sam is incredible who was my point of contact setting everything up. There's plenty of parking and in the most beautiful city in NH, Portsmouth. You really can't beat it!
